n-Butanol or n-butyl alcohol or normal butanol is a primary alcohol with a 4-carbon structure and the chemical formula C4H9OH. n-Butanol is a clear, colorless liquid that is flammable. It has a characteristic banana-like odor. lt is used to make other chemicals (butyl acetate and butyl acrylates), as a solvent, or as an ingredient in formulated products such as cosmetics.



n-hexanol, n-hexyl alcohol, caproic alcohol, or normal hexanol is a primary organic alcohol with a 6-carbon structure and the chemical formula CH3(CH2)5OH.  This colorless liquid is slightly soluble in water but miscible with ether and ethanol. Hexanol is used in perfumes and personal care products.



n-octanol, octyl alcohol, capryl alcohol is a primary alcohol with a condensed formula CH3(CH2)7OH. It is a colorless, slightly viscous liquid used as a defoaming or wetting agent. It is also used as a solvent for protective coatings, waxes, and oils, and as a raw material for plasticizers.



n-decanol, decyl alcohol, n-decyl alcohol, or capric alcohol is a straight-chain fatty alcohol with ten carbon atoms and the molecular formula C10H21OH. It is a colorless to light yellow viscous liquid that is insoluble in water and has an aromatic odor. Decanol is used in the manufacture of plasticizers, lubricants, surfactants, and solvents. Its ability to permeate the skin has led to it being investigated as a penetration enhancer for transdermal drug delivery.


2 Ethyl-Hexanol

2-Ethylhexanol (abbreviated 2-EH) is a branched, eight-carbon chiral alcohol. It is a colorless liquid that is poorly soluble in water but soluble in most organic solvents. It is produced on a massive scale for use in numerous applications such as solvents, flavors, and fragrances and especially as a precursor for the production of other chemicals such as emollients and plasticizers.
