We are pleased to announce that the European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted its initial pre-approval to begin the due diligence process for a potential €37 million financing package to support the construction of our first industrial-scale biobutanol production plant, a first-of-a-kind (FOAK) project located in France.
This initial step, now published on the EIB’s official website, represents a significant step forward for Catalyxx and reaffirms the strategic value of our proprietary, non-fermentative technology, which transforms bioethanol into renewable biobutanol. This process provides a cost-effective, oil-independent, and sustainable solution to the production of chemical intermediates traditionally derived from fossil sources.
The EIB’s support underscores the importance of innovative green technologies in achieving Europe’s decarbonization goals and confirms Catalyxx’s potential to become a key player in the transition towards a circular, low-carbon chemical industry.
At Catalyxx, we are proud to contribute to a cleaner industrial future by leading innovation at the crossroads of chemistry, sustainability, and efficiency.
